Inspired by a book that I found in my mother’s library entitled “Black Women In Antiquity” by Ivan Van Sertima and after leaving a role at a powerful yet toxically patriarchal Black-led organization, I wanted to celebrate myself and other Black Women as well as our thriving futures to ring in my 30th year on Earth.
